This is my piece for Fractures, "Blue Crevasse". I have a confession to make. I actually had another piece done by the middle of September, but didn't post it and when I heard there were still some not finished on our Zoom meeting on Monday I remembered this piece that was almost finished, but had been put away during my studio move over a year ago. I dug it out and finished it. It was inspired by a piece of blue silk used in the piece. There are also laces, organza, tulle, knits and velvet. The white fabric typically used for shapewear(girdles) even goes back to my lingerie designing days. Some of the fabric is scrunched or pleated (fabric manipulation) and I love how the, what we used to call "the wet look" knit fabric quilts up!

I'm hoping to get these all on the website on Thursday. It takes me the whole day to do it and so far I've got that day open. - Michelle
