Aspen Forest at Kebler Pass.
30” x 40”
Aspen tree forests are considered one organism because they are connected by their roots. This piece is based on many pictures I’ve taken at Kebler Pass near Crested Butte Colorado. They are by far the largest oldest aspen trees I’ve seen. They are very vulnerable to fire but somehow this forest survives and thrives.
Enjoy!

Love this piece Nicole --- I can almost hear the wind in those leaves!
ReplyDeleteI love the movement that the curved foreground brings and the tree shadows.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Vicki--great movement with the curves and the shadows and the trees, the sky and the greens are amazing.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a talented artist. I love how the ground dips down and back up again as well as the tree shadows. It is absolutely stunning and so realistic. Quakies are my trees!
