My take on Bright Sky

 

Here is my entry for Bright Sky Dark Sky.  I am calling it "Sky According to the Forest".  This is the view of the "sky" for forest-floor dwellers.  I improvisationally pieced the tree trunks, couched yarn for the branches, and used seed beads to invoke patches of sunlight filtering through the canopy.  The quilt is approximately 38 inches square.  I rounded the corners to give the impression of a rounded eye view (without going full circle).  I need to get a better photo, though.
