"Quaking Aspens" (30" w x 40" h) was made by Lynn Welsch for the 4 Common Corners, Wisdom of Trees Challenge. I used painted dryer sheets for the leaves and hand stitched them on so they are loose on the surface of the quilt and will flutter in a breeze. The quilt is based on a photo I took while hiking at the ridge along the top of the Sandia Mountains near Albuquerque.
